Creating Sale

When you create a sale, you are documenting the sale of an item. Therefore, the card is similar to invoicing. You can specify the following:

  • Customer
  • Warehouse from which the product will be sold
  • Assignee
  • Date
  • Status:
    • Created: Draft status.
    • Reserve: Reserve the items for the sale.
    • Executed: Select this when the item has been sold.
    • Void: Select this when payment for the item has been canceled.
  • Price type and parameters for generating the final price, including Discount, Taxes, Shipping Charges, and Adjustment.
  • List of goods

Note that when you specify the quantity of items, you will see their availability and cost. This way, you can set a price and ensure you don’t sell more items than you have in the warehouse.

If you decide to specify a quantity greater than the available amount, you can create a realization document only in the "Created" status. In this status, the warehouse balance will not change. If you try to set a different status in this situation, the system will not allow it and will indicate an error.

When creating a Sale document, you can select the "Reserved" status. Reserved products will be displayed in the product card under the "Balances" tab. Reserved products are included in the total balance.

For example, if there are 350 pcs of knitted polo shirts in stock, and 100 pcs are reserved, when you create another Sale document, the system will indicate the available products, including the reserved items.

  • Goods in stock: 350 pcs, but including the reserve, the available quantity is 250 pcs.

This ensures that you don't promise a customer a sale only to find out you don't have the items in the warehouse.
