Flowlu Product Updates: January & February
Big things are happening in Flowlu! We’ve rolled out updates that make managing projects, tasks, CRM, and finances even smoother. Let’s dive in!
Milestones Are Back—And Better Than Before
Milestones are back, and now they’re clearer and more useful. Think of them as key points in your project—like major checkpoints that keep everything on track.
What’s new?
- Statuses & Extra Fields – Milestones now have the same statuses as tasks, plus some extra details for better tracking.
- Dependencies – You can now link milestones to tasks. If something needs to be done before a milestone can be completed, Flowlu makes sure it happens in the right order.
- Clearer Purpose – Milestones are not just tasks with a fancy name. They have:
A fixed start and due date (because milestones mark a single moment in time).
No subtasks (since they represent a key point, not a list of to-dos).
A permanent connection to a project (if removed, they turn back into a task).
How to set them up:
- In Work Structure
- Using a Project Workflow
- On the Gantt Chart (where they appear as diamonds)
- By converting a task or subtask into a milestone
Available on all Pro plans.
Dependencies: Smarter Task Management
Managing task order is now easier. You could already link tasks in the Gantt Chart, but now those dependencies are visible inside the task itself. That means no more guessing which tasks are connected.
What’s new?
- Multiple Dependencies – A task can be linked to several others, giving you more control.
- Clickable Dependency Lines – Change or remove links in the Gantt Chart anytime.
- Blocking Option – Stop a task from being marked complete until the previous one is finished.
Example:
- Task A: Write product documentation
- Task B: Publish documentation on the website (Blocked until Task A is done!)
Task dependencies are on all Pro plans. Blocking links are on the Business plan and higher.

Auto Scheduling for the Gantt Chart
Tired of manually adjusting task dates when things shift? Auto Scheduling handles it for you. If a task moves, related tasks automatically adjust—no extra effort needed.
How to turn it on:

Go to Project → Gantt → Settings → Automation
How it works:
- When OFF: Tasks move freely, without affecting others.
- When ON: Tasks shift based on dependencies.
Key features:
- Automatic Deadline Adjustments – Linked tasks align with each other.
- Lag/Delay Between Tasks – Add a buffer (in hours or days) between dependent tasks.
- Fixed Start Dates – When enabled, the start date of a dependent task is calculated automatically.
Available on Business and higher plans.

New Widgets for CRM & Tasks
We’ve added more ways to track what matters—right on your dashboard.
CRM Widgets
Meet the new Opportunities widget. It shows the total value or count of deals, with filters for:
- Pipeline
- Assigned team members
- Specific statuses
- And more.
Four preset options:
- Active Opportunities Value
- Won Opportunities
- Active Opportunities Count
- Lost Opportunities Count
Want full control? Use Custom Settings to tailor the widget to your needs.
Other CRM widget updates:
- Average Opportunity Value – Track customer spending trends by time period.
- Progress Indicators – Compare numbers with the previous period to spot trends.

Task Widgets
See key task stats at a glance—no extra clicks required.
Preset options:
- Tasks in Progress – Everything currently being worked on.
- Total Overdue Tasks – Tasks that should’ve been finished but aren’t.
- Tasks Completed This Month – Everything wrapped up in the current month.
- Time Logged for Closed Tasks – Total hours spent on finished work.
- Closed Tasks Revenue – How much completed tasks have earned.
Need something specific? Customize the widgets to:
- Track tasks by team or project
- Monitor overdue tasks per client
- See logged hours for specific task tags

Finance Module Updates
Faster Invoice Management
Now you can download, print, or copy payment links for invoices without opening each one. A small change, but a big time-saver.
Better Payment Calendar Permissions
Previously, only finance module admins could see the full payment calendar. Now, employees only see accounts they have access to—keeping financial data secure while making accounting easier.
Invoice Templates Inside Projects
If you use standard invoice templates, you can now issue invoices directly inside projects. No need to switch between modules.
New Automation: Estimated Revenue
Flowlu can now automatically create estimated revenue entries—saving time and reducing errors.
Easily Update Tags in Bulk
Now you can edit tags faster than ever! With the new bulk edit option, you can add, remove, or modify tags across Agile projects, CRM accounts, sales opportunities, tasks, and projects—all in just a few clicks. Select multiple records and update them all at once, saving time and effort.
